FLOWING WITH THE ELEMENTS….
This workshop is a free-flowing vinyasa class inspired by the yoga stylings of Shiva Rea. The elements Earth, Air, Fire, and Water are commonly referred to as elements that exist in nature, however each of them exist in the nature of our bodies as well. We can choose to practice asana in a way that supports and attunes us to our elemental nature. In the workshop we will explore the embodiment of each element, inspiring you to ground like the Earth, feel the wind in the body with the Air, be vibrant and powerful like Fire and be fluid and dynamic like Water.

TADASANA BY ANY OTHER NAME….
Explore how the intelligent action of Tadasana is in every pose and conversely, how every pose is in Tadasana. The true nature of yoga says that the postures are just a vehicle for transformation into a more awakened state. Jeff will be your guide for the afternoon to learn readily available ways to reach Tadasana Jaya (the repose within the pose) while integrating the classic philosophy of the Yamas and Niyamas – all revealed through this one fundamental asana.
Jeff Logan is the founder and co-owner of Body and Soul Center in Huntington, NY.
He began his practice of yoga in 1982, and is currently on the Board of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York and an Officer of the Long Island Yoga Association. Teaching for more than 15 years in the area, he is sincere and authentic in his practice and with his students. Last year he was featured in an article in Runner’s World magazine, most recently featured in Newsday. He is a master at asana, but just as important, Jeff infuses his classes with great caring, humor, and humanity.

We had a joyous spring celebration at Amba Yoga Center with drumming, dancing, spirit (and spirits). Feel free to bring your own drums or anything you wish to tap, shake or bang. Yoga people, friends, musicians, dancers, music lovers, and major partiers are all invited.
